Rewards in Heaven...

Gifts in heaven are not only awarded based on enduring the trials and tribulations of life, and your having trust and faith in God and Jesus that these trials are intended to benefit you as a believer, for God's greater glory, and to prepare you to serve God, but gifts will also be awarded according to your service to mankind in God's name. Your salvation is a gift by the grace of God, and your rewards are attained separate from God's grace, and dependent on your self sacrificing care and love for others.

Matthew 25:31-46

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me..."

Matthew 10:45

"And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward...Then Jesus said, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me."

Your benevolence toward others is private, to be done in secret, and your reward will be judged based on your not drawing public attention to your acts of self sacrifice done on the behalf of others.

Matthew 6:1-34

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward..."
