What is true faith?

As a stage 4 cancer patient, and presently doing well on Chemo Therapy, I thought it might be appropriate at this opportunity to document things in blog format, as biblical things weigh more heavily on my mind.

Thank you for your understanding, and thank God for his saving grace, the hope he gives, and his wonderful love, protection, and support all these years!

Accept it or reject it, God gave us free will, and along with free will, the responsibility for our free will decisions and our free will consequences.  Why risk it?  I'm NOT, Jesus commands me to say the following to all that will listen.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ will have eternal life, and will live forever!

But, what does that really mean? Demons in the bible "believed" in Jesus Christ as God in human flesh/form, and witnesses saw the demons were petrified of him at times when these demons were in his very presence!

What it really means is this...

He or she who seeks Him, Cleaves to Him, Trusts Him, Relies on Him, and sincerely tries to follow His Commandments, while also keeping in mind at all times that, in the flesh, we always fall short of God's perfection. We must repent when we stumble in sin, and confess to Him that we will never be perfect in the flesh, that we need his saving grace of forgiveness through Jesus Christ if we're going to anticipate living forever.

Only then, will we not perish upon physical death, but by the promise of Jesus Christ, we will have eternal life. Jesus Christ was God the Father in the flesh, and His debut on earth is specifically foretold in biblical prophecy for 4,000 years. The true essence of our very being can live in God's love, perfection, protection, and support, forever.

We are promised to receive humanly unimagineably perfect rewards in heaven according to our righteous works in accordance with His will! We are not saved by our works, only solely according to God's grace through our commitment to Jesus Christ in faith and obedience to his commandments with the help of the Holy Spirit, who is available to us if we call upon Him. But, our works according to His will are rewarded according to our faithful commitments to Him by obeying and acting thru our works according to His will.

Who said it was going to be easy, Jesus said following Him would truely NOT be easy! Everlasting Life is a gift of God, but heavenly rewards, when you can't see what they are, that's going to take faith, and that's going to also be a lot of work if you look forward to the best of rewards!

Jesus said to his disciples, "In my Father's house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for YOU!"...John 14-2.

Not hovels, not dinky little dwellings, but MANSIONS!  THANK GOD!

If you want to know more, study the biblical commentaries. One I particularly recommend is the archived radio broadcasts of Dr. J. Vernon McGee in MP3 format, delivered by Dr. McGee in a sermon format.  They call it the Bible Bus.  It's a five-year journey through the whole Word of God. What makes it unique is the systematic way they study the whole Bible over five years. You can hop on the Bible Bus at any stop and ride for as long as you like. They begin in Genesis (Old Testament), then jump to the book of Matthew (New Testament), and then back to the Old Testament. Systematically, and in order, they travel through all 66 books of the Bible in five years.

Dr. McGee also makes these study aids available on the "Thru the Bible" website, where you will find free study resources, as well as resources that are available in printed booklet format, and Amazon.com Kindle format as well.  I ordered each chapter of the radio broadcasts in written form, produced for Amazon.com Kindle Electronic Book Readers, from Amazon.com, and finished the entire Old and New Testiments of the Bible in about one year.  The Kindle versions transcribed from Dr. McGee's radio programs, are entilted Thru the Bible Commentaries by J. Vernon McGee.  They are very affordable, around $5.00-$6.00 each on Amazon.com these days, but may be downloadable in written formal for less, or even free, from the Thru the Bible website.  Dr. McGee interjects some of his own personal opinions within his commentaries that some might find controversial with respect to his own take on politics, music in the church, etc...but, he usually stipulates them as personal preferences for certain ways of worship, etc...but, he's rock solid on doctrinal translation from the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic languages into English, and sound explanation.

I am in no way affiliated with Thru the Bible, other than as a modest contributor, and a fan boy of the messages Dr. McGee presents through his radio broadcasts and written publications.
