Evidence of God Is All Around You...Consider the Caterpillar
If you take a look around at nature, you see the creator's handiwork everywhere. I sometimes reflect on my feeble attempts at completing certain projects, and lament that some of my projects don't turn out perfectly all the time, even when I put a lot of thought and planning into them.
I consider the level of perfection, precision, and perfect synchronization that's been put into God's creation, and I'm in absolute awe when I contemplate it, especially when I compare my own feeble attempts at completing certain projects.
Things just don't turn out well without a sophisticated level of planning, precision, and intelligent thought being put into anything, especially anything that's complicated. This world is not just an accident or chance, it's planned, precisely designed, and intelligently developed by an entity that's far more intelligent than mankind, by a being that's even beyond the feeble understanding of mankind.
God is so far superior in intelligence, grace, forgiveness, patience, omniscience, goodness, mercy, benevolence, and righteousness, that the degree of these attributes in God can not even been comprehended by the feeble mind of man.
So, when you consider the complexity of God's creation, which includes the entire universe and not just nature, how can anyone deny the existence of a supremely intelligent, awe inspiring, and one and only true God as the creator of the entire universe?
I believe that if mankind will consider with an open mind the question of whether God exists, then mankind will also see the not so subtle evidence that God has provided to reassure mankind of his existence. Coming to the realization that God exists is the first step in gaining the faith necessary in order to receive everlasting life upon physical death.
For example, consider the little caterpillar, crawling along, kind of an ugly little thing, and eventually forming a cocoon at the end of its existence, then emerging from its cocoon as a beautiful butterfly. Could it be that God is sending mankind a message in this simple natural process?
Could it be that this little caterpillar is meant to be represented as mankind, made ugly (the caterpillar) by sin, then the little caterpillar forms a cocoon at the end of its existence as a caterpillar? A cocoon looks a lot like a burial shroud, does it not? Then, in time, the ugly little caterpillar emerges from the cocoon as a beautiful butterfly, the little ugly caterpillar representing a sinful and ugly "mankind" transformed into a beautiful spiritual being, which is represented by the butterfly.
Could it be this is a sign from God that equates to what is possible with respect to mankind, and how mankind can be transformed from the caterpillar (sin) into a beautiful butterfly (perfection)? Could it be a sign of reassurance from God to mankind that with God all things are possible to the receptive heart and soul?
Mankind generally observes this process as just another natural occurrence in nature, and attaches little significance that it's a sign from God, intended to provide mankind hope that a disgusting being, the ugly little insignificant caterpillar, representing mankind as having disgusting and sinful ways in God's eyes, can be transformed into a beautiful creature that is acceptable to God. (ie: the butterfly).
Through God's grace and influence in the lives of mankind, this miraculous metamorphosis can occur. The first step is for mankind to recognize the existence of God. Then, upon further spiritual development, through reading and contemplating God's word, following a devout acceptance of the Christian Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God, mankind can experience this miraculous metamorphosis into becoming what God intended, and the kind of creatures that God wants to spend eternity with.
THAT'S LIFE EVERLASTING ACHIEVED to the benefit of mankind by the Grace of God!
